Embracing Opportunities
Embracing Opportunities 2004 was a non-denominational conference that aimed to help Christians respond to the HIV/AIDS pandemic in Africa. Its purpose was to inform the Christian community in Manitoba about the HIV/AID crisis in Africa and its impact on African congregations and Christians.
The conference spawned a local follow-up group, FOCUS AFRICA, which has been raising awareness about HIV/AIDS in Africa and holding fundraisers to provide relief money for organizations working with HIV/AIDS victims in Africa.
